From Minho to Lisbon, chica music emerges from the political and personal implosion that fell into its most natural place: the song. “Brincar com o Cão” (2020) was the first single from the solo project. Where everything is said before thinking and imagine the spaces that are not granted to us.

In 2022, chica debuts with the EP “Cada Qual no seu Buraco”, composed between Minho and Lisbon over two years. The songs were written and conceived in the shadow of disenchantment when you knock your nose on the door of adult life. To drift routine is easy to recognize – in the houses, in the streets and in the lamentations we launch for the table top. Thus, this work is the record of that disappointment, but also of the realization that “before times, times have come and other times will come” (Fausto): the daily management between survival in gear and the contempt that we have are a must for anyone who knows there is so much more.
